Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get ice cubes delivered?

Unfortunately we do not deliver small amounts of ice cubes (min. order is 720kg!) but you can find where to buy our ice cubes by the pack here

How long should I stay in an ice bath?

You only need to spend 2 minutes in an ice bath to experience the benefits. However, it's important to listen to your body. Too cold for too long could increase the risk of overexposure to cold and potentially lead to adverse effects.

Don't forget to warm your body up through movement afterwards, this will lessen the risk of an afterdrop or hypothermia.

How often should I take ice baths?

The frequency of ice baths depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people incorporate ice baths into their routine after intense training sessions, while others use them as a morning ritual to kick start their day.

Can ice baths help with muscle recovery?

Yes, ice baths are believed to help with muscle recovery by reducing inflammation and minimizing muscle soreness. The cold water can constrict blood vessels and decrease metabolic activity, which may aid in the recovery process.

How Can Ice Baths Support Mental and Physical Health?

Anyone looking to take up cold water exposure because of its mental/physical health benefits should consider taking a Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Workshop, and if you're in the UK or even want to take your adventures to the French Alps, there is nobody we trust more than the fabulous guys at Root2Rise.

These workshops not only explain the science behind the cold but also teach you how to utilise your mind set and also tap into your deepest potential with the Wim Hof Method breathwork, which will help you stay calm and focused in the cold water.

Do ice baths improve athletic performance?

It's well known that ice baths have a positive impact on short-term recovery, which could potentially lead to improved performance in subsequent workouts or competitions. The cold temperature of the water in the ice bath helps to reduce inflammation, speed up muscle recovery, decrease muscle soreness, and improve overall circulation.
